Shiplate Farm Fishery: Sunday 12th Febraury
This was Weston Angling's fifth in a series of six matches.
After breaking ice on The Hawthorns to enable the start of the match, the conditions did very little to improve or provide comfort for the nine anglers who braved the winter conditions. The sun came out briefly and there was no icy wind today, but the weather made the match one of the hardest of the season so far.
1st Darren Greenwood Peg 2 8lb 6oz
2nd Steve Howell Peg 6 6lb 13oz
3rd Ron Mortimer Peg 7 6lb 5oz
4th Johnny page Peg 5 2lb 13oz
5th Jim Doughty Peg 15 2lb
Silvers went to Simon Ryall Peg 9 11oz
Section winners were Ron Mortimer and Steve Howell.
Shiplate Farm Fishery: Sunday 5th February
Most of the 22 anglers who braved post freezing conditions to fish the match on Sunday, had to use ice breakers to clear enough area in front of them to be able to fish. The match was delayed 30 minutes to allow everyone enough time to be able to do this. The match was held on the Westpool and the Hawthorns lakes.
Despite the weather the results were still good as many matches that day had been cancelled due to weather difficulties.

6th Andy Bryant 12 Westpool 14lb 4oz
