December Match Results 2011

Sunday 18th December 2011: Shiplate Farm Fishery Christmas match results .
 
Winter had definately arrived, along with the ice on the water at the start of the Christmas open match. The cold westerly wind kept the 29 anglers busy trying to keep warm whilst they waited for the fish to start feeding. The match was held on both the Main Lake and the Hawthorns.
Jim Thomas took first place on the Main Lake from peg 3, alternating the Waggler and Feeder, using maggot and feeding small balls of ground bait.
Alan Healey took first place on the Hawthorns from peg 10, fishing the pole to the far bank shelf, in shallow depth using maggot.
